Basic Function

The Executive Director is responsible for the implementation of Farm Bureau policies and activities, and for supervising the daily operations of the Imperial County Farm Bureau.  The Executive Director is expected to provide the professional leadership that enables the association to achieve its missions.


Essential Duties

  • Manage the office of the Imperial County Farm Bureau.

  • Keep abreast of all legislative and regulatory matters at the local, state, and federal levels so as to protect the best interest of Imperial County Farm Bureau’s members.

  • Coordinate and handle public and media relations.

  • Direct services and activities for the benefit of the Membership.

  • Oversee operations of the Voluntary TMDL Compliance Program; ensure proper management and retention of funding for the program.  

  • Serve as Imperial County Farm Bureau’s Corporate Secretary.

  • Travel as necessary to represent ICFB.



  • Bachelors Degree in a related field is required (education requirement may be substituted with relevant work experience)

  • Management experience is preferred.

  • Excellent skills in interpersonal relations, written and verbal communication, organization and prioritization, and resourcefulness.
